Another brother steps back
by konceptual99 inso at the meeting this week it was announced that a certain brother was no longer serving as a ministerial servant.. this is a guy who was brought up in a different country as his family went to serve where the need was greater.
this is a guy who was home schooled and went straight into pioneering.
he then went and worked on building projects in various places in europe and africa.

Whoever thinks that's is a fallacy black men are getting killed left and right, and that this country isn't full of racism and hate, lives like an ostrich.
Blacks may be killed left and right, but it's not by white cops. This is a small percentage. What is killing blacks left and right indirectly is their black leaders who have failed to address their biggest problems. Namely crime rates, school dropouts, fatherless homes.
Racism exist and it's still a problem, but nothing compared to 4 decades ago. it has diminished greatly. Iit may be going up again, but this time is fueled by the inability of both sides to have an honest talk. The white side often condescending, the black side often crying wolf.

Better. We still have the unsubstantiated claim of an individual with a big title. The strange thing is that Coded logic gave us statistics with lots of details that refute the claim in your quote. Who do we believe?
Edit:
I read the article and have to correct myself. We have statistics available, but not from police documents. Got it! By the way, I read the article and I feel is quite bias. It offers shocking numbers, but provides no context or the proper analysis of those numbers. Example: "Blacks are shot at twice the rate as whites", but crime rates of either group are ignored.

You may be right. I thought of being singled out based on my looks because on that particular day I was the only Hispanic (dark skin and Middle Eastern looks) in the crowd of passengers. But as I said before, I don't mind profiling based on cold data... and yes... my looks definitely correlate with airplane hijacking.

From the scenes available, there was no reason to shoot him. However, the shooting scene is missing. Big question mark there. Regardless, if this man has a case against the police, go for it. Sue them, teach them a lesson and get the police officer punished. You got my support (after I see the actual scene of the shooting confirming an unjustified action). Just don't extrapolate this case to conclude that white police officers who shoot on black people are unjustified and racist. Each case is different. Even this case may be a case of incompetence more than racial animosity. Not sufficient evidence yet.

You are right Simon. I think I mixed two different comments from opposite sides of the argument. In this case the comments of a Homeland Security Secretary whose name I can't remember and comments can't find, with Sam Harris' comments..
This reminds me of actually being a victim of racial profiling in the Salt Lake City airport about 8 years ago. I was singled out for an in depth screening while the big number of very white Mormons around me were given a pass. I didn't mind. I happen to have the Middle Eastern look, very much like the guys of the 911 attacks.
Yes, I hope the TSA officers screen me and guys who look like me more often than they screen Betty White. I would feel safer.

Why do you continue living there?
Confederate flags? the South? Yeah, I have heard that some people there still hold values and ideas that were popular many decades, even centuries ago. Just like old guard JW's, those racists are dying out. The rest of the country is doing much better.
Time to move to another community.
